WeMakeVR Demo Night – How Immersive Technology is changing the creative landscape

Every year, people ask the same question: “Where is the industry now?” On March 27th we’ll look at the big changes the Immersive industry is going through. Smaller startups are replacing powerhouses, new makers are exploring the possibilities, and other industries are realizing that Immersive Media is affecting them in ways they have not foreseen.

For example, videogame-arcades disappeared in the 90’s, but are now being revived through VR. Disney is creating new Star Wars stories exclusively for VR. And Netflix’s latest “Black Mirror”-episode gave millions of viewers their first interactive narrative experience. New headsets and distribution-systems keep coming, and consumer-adoption keeps steadily growing. These are signals Immersive Media is now reaching an audience beyond professional users.

To further explore this, a panel of visionaries from different creative industries will, with the audience, discuss how the rise of Immersive Media is affecting the future of their work; will it affect the way we write, consume media, tell stories, support makers?

And as always we’ll be showcasing new Immersive works that push the boundaries of our industry. Join us for an evening of inspiring talks and experiences that will change what you thought you knew about Immersive Media.

18:30 – 19:00 Demo Time! Try different VR-experiences
