Over the past six years, we’ve seen VR grow from a niche for geeks and gamers to a completely new industry. An industry where we’ve learned that VR is not film, not tv and not gaming. They can be part of it, but as a medium VR goes far beyond, and into new, uncharted territory.
From brands and city-governments to corporations and educational institutes, all kinds of organizations are getting more exposed to VR as a communication medium. Consumers are discovering uses of VR that they did not expect, such as virtually standing on the field during the World Cup.
